We’ve made great progress on the maze so a big thank you to all our volunteer’s hard work!
The maze is really starting to take shape, with the first of the dead hedges in the centre nearing completion and we have begun on the hazel weaving which will form the majority of the maze walls.
As we are using product from Big Wood to build the maze, it has given us an opportunity to thin some of the Silver Birch stands in the surrounding area and open up the canopy. With a bit of strategic clearing back of bracken and brambles as well, we should hopefully see wildflowers populate the area in years to come and provide a wonderful backdrop to the project.
